The food was excellent! We enjoyed the vegetarian nut roast Wellington with a selection of roast veg. The dog snaffled up her pig-in-blanket while we sipped tasty mocktails. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, lovely atmosphere too! This is the perfect dog-friendly place for a bite to eat after exploring the Wyre Forest.
Quality of food preparation has consistently been a problem over the several times I've visited: parts of orders missing, dishes not warmed adequately, meats overcooked and dry. Yet they are always busy with families on the weekends, so it may just be my bad luck? This place could be good if they invested in more consistent quality cooking.
Wasn't expecting much on a busy Sunday at a chain pub, but this was lovely. Speedy service, probably more efficiency than friendliness, but nice enough, and good quality roast dinners. Highly recommend the beef rib!
